Ford continues to shower different communities and organizations with charitable donations. The American automaker who produces the 2012 Ford Focus has added the American Indian College Fund to their lists of charities and organization they have contributed to by donating $50,000 to the fund.
Ford Motor Company Blue Oval Scholars Program will make this large sum of money available to Native American students attending tribal colleges and universities during the 2011-12 academic year. If you are eager to join the Blue Oval in contributing to any of the organizations, funds and non-profits the American automaker has already donated to, contact Huntington Beach Ford in Huntington Beach, California for more information.
"At Ford, we understand that the strength of our country relies on the quality of its future leaders and the education they receive," said Mike Schmidt of the Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services. "We are honored to be working with the American Indian College Fund to provide Ford Blue Oval Scholarships that support Native American students in their pursuit of higher education."1
The American Indian College Fund is available to Native Americans majoring in degrees in math, science, engineering, business, teacher training, or environmental science. Students who attend mainstream universities are also eligible for this scholarship.
However, for those students who are attending mainstream colleges they must be majoring in accounting, computer science, engineering, finance, marketing, or operations management. And most importantly, all applicants must have a GPA of at least a 3.0.
