You can’t really discuss the Ford F-150 without at least mentioning its perennial competitor, the Chevrolet Silverado. For 2019, Chevy has introduced a completely redesigned pickup truck with a new grille and new features. It is not available in the same range of trim levels as the F-150, so buyers sacrifice some customization options, although there is a new trim choice on the market – the Custom trim level. The Silverado offers a handful of engine options, including a 4.3-liter V6 and a 6.2-liter V8 engine. Also available is a 2.7-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder for the Custom trim and a 5.3-liter EcoTec V8. The Silverado has some interesting features, but it ultimately falls short of the F-150 in key areas, including interior design, driver control quality and layout, interior space (due to the overly large center stack that eats up cabin space), and cabin material quality, which is low in comparison to many other models on the market, not just the F-150.
