Why Choose Us

Why Drivers Choose Us for an Oil Change

We are a highly rated Ford dealer serving Orange County, with a 4.8-star dealership rating from more than 3,500 customer reviews, according to Kelley Blue Book (2026).

What sets us apart for an oil change specifically is convenience. Most shops offer one way to get serviced; we offer three. You can walk into our Quick Lane® with no appointment, schedule Ford Pickup & Delivery so we collect and return your vehicle, or book Ford Mobile Service and have one of our certified technicians come to your home or workplace. Ford Pickup & Delivery and Mobile Service are available for eligible Ford vehicles within our local service area.

That combination — all-makes acceptance, no-appointment service, and two ways to skip the trip entirely — is what makes us a convenient oil-change option for drivers throughout Orange County.

Transparent Pricing

Honest Pricing and No Surprise Upsells

We believe the right oil change is about more than the lowest sticker price. When you choose where to service your vehicle, it pays to look for three things: transparent, upfront pricing; certified technicians; and a real multi-point inspection — without high-pressure upsells. That is exactly how we run our service lane.

Our most popular oil change is The Works®, a synthetic blend service — contact us for current pricing. We give you the price before we begin, explain anything your vehicle genuinely needs, and never push work you did not ask about. If you drive a Ford, you can also redeem FordPass® Rewards points toward eligible service — ask us about current redemption values (Ford.com FordPass® Rewards, 2026), and you earn points on every visit.

What's Included

The Works® — and the Oil We Use

According to Ford Owner Support (2026), The Works® typically includes a Motorcraft® oil and filter change with up to six quarts of oil, a tire rotation and pressure check, a brake inspection, a battery test, a fluid top-off, and a multi-point vehicle inspection. In plain terms, you leave knowing the condition of your tires, brakes, battery, and fluids — not just with fresh oil. Hybrid high-voltage battery testing is not included.

Every oil change we perform uses Motorcraft® oil and a genuine Motorcraft® filter. This is not a marketing line: Motorcraft® is Ford's original-equipment brand, and per Ford.com (2026), the Motorcraft® oil filter is the only oil filter Ford recommends for Ford and Lincoln vehicles. If you have ever wondered how much oil your engine actually takes, our team breaks it down in our blog, How Much Oil Does Your Car Need?

Oil Change Intervals

How Often You Actually Need It

A question we hear often is how frequently a modern engine needs an oil change, and the honest answer is: less often than most people assume. According to Ford.com (2026), Ford's Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor® calculates the interval based on how you drive, and many newer vehicles can go up to 10,000 miles or 12 months between changes under normal conditions.

Here in Southern California, though, more drivers fall into Ford's "severe use" category than they realize. Ford lists extreme heat, frequent short trips, and extended low-speed or stop-and-go driving among the conditions that call for more frequent oil changes — and that describes a typical day on the 405 or Pacific Coast Highway. Under those conditions the interval can drop to 3,000–5,000 miles, so we often recommend local drivers track their oil life toward the shorter end. When you visit us, we reset the Oil-Life Monitor after every service so your dashboard reminder stays accurate.

Tires

Tires While You're Here

An oil change is the natural time to handle tires. Through our Quick Lane® Low Price Tire Guarantee, per Quick Lane (2026), we will beat a competitor's advertised price on the major tire brands we sell — and the same Southern California heat and rough pavement that wear your oil are hard on tires, too.

Three Ways to Get Serviced

FAQs

How often should I change the oil in my Ford?

Ford's Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor® sets the interval based on how you drive. Under normal conditions many newer Fords can go up to 10,000 miles or 12 months between changes, while severe use can shorten that to 3,000–5,000 miles (Ford.com, 2026). We reset the monitor for you after every service.

How often should I change my oil if I drive in Southern California traffic?

Daily stop-and-go driving on the 405 or PCH, frequent short trips, and summer heat all count as severe-use conditions under Ford's guidance, which call for more frequent changes — often closer to every 3,000–5,000 miles than the 10,000-mile maximum. We recommend local drivers lean toward the shorter end and let us check their oil life when in doubt (Ford.com, 2026).

How much does an oil change cost at Huntington Beach Ford?

Our Works® synthetic blend oil change is competitively priced, and we give you the price before we begin — contact us for current pricing. Ford owners can also redeem FordPass® Rewards points toward eligible service; ask us about current redemption values (Ford.com, 2026). Full synthetic or larger-capacity engines may cost more; we will confirm your exact price up front.

Can you change the oil on a non-Ford vehicle?

Yes. Our on-site Quick Lane® Tire & Auto Center services all vehicle makes and models for routine maintenance, including oil changes, so you do not need to own a Ford (Quick Lane, 2026).

Do I need an appointment for an oil change?

No. Our Quick Lane® accepts walk-ins with no appointment. If you would rather not come in, we can arrange Ford Pickup & Delivery or Ford Mobile Service for eligible Ford vehicles where available — just call us at (888) 643-9988.

What's included in an oil change at Huntington Beach Ford?

Our Works® package includes a Motorcraft® oil and filter change with up to six quarts of oil, a tire rotation, brake inspection, battery test, fluid top-off, and a multi-point inspection (Ford Owner Support, 2026). Hybrid high-voltage battery testing is not included.

What kind of oil and filter do you use?

We use Motorcraft® oil and a genuine Motorcraft® filter — the only oil filter Ford recommends for Ford and Lincoln vehicles (Ford.com, 2026). The exact oil grade (synthetic blend or full synthetic) follows your vehicle's Owner's Manual specification.
